Joyce Seller Moore Carney, 94 of Lavaca, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, October 15, 2014 in Fort Smith. She was a retired teacher for the Fort Smith School District, member of Lavaca First Baptist Church, Delta Kappa Gamma, Honorary Teachers Society, South Sebastian County Retired Teachers Association and life member of the Arkansas Retired Teachers Association.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday, October 17, 2014 at Lavaca First Baptist Church with burial at Oak Cemetery under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood. Viewing will be Thursday from 3 – 8 p.m. at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends from 6 – 8 p.m.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Charley Moore, Raymond Moore and Hugh Carney; four sisters, Myrtle Sellers, Eva Sellers, Roxie Crelia and Nancy Gordon and one brother, Junior Sellers.
Pallbearers will be Paul Crelia, Al Crelia, Shannon Crelia, Brain Callan, David Moore and Bill Gordan. Honorary pallbearers will be Travis Balch, Bob Ward, Ron Smith, Leon Meyer, Arnold Sexton, Jim Bean and Ben Ray..
