Linda Griffin, “Nana”, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 19, 2023. Anyone that was blessed to have met Linda knew how much love she gave to everyone she met. Her entire world were her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. “Nana” was always the woman who would give her babies anything, no matter if anyone told her otherwise. She loved people deeply and was a servant to all. Even if you were a stranger, Linda would give you everything she had to help. She remembered who you were and your story regardless of how much time had passed.
Linda’s journey began on January 30, 1945. She was born to Fay and Marjorie Griffin in Michigan and came to Arkansas some years later. Linda worked at Planters for over 30 years and eventually retired from there. Being the hardworking woman she was, this lasted about a month until she decided to get another job at a local smoke shop. Nana met many people in her time here and changed the lives of more than she would have admitted.
Nana enjoyed hanging out by the pool, smoking her “cigars”, and playing with her grandbabies. She made countless memories with her family out by the water. She was a member of Life Church Fort Smith.
Linda “Nana” Griffin was preceded in death by her father, Fay Griffin, her mother, Marjorie Griffin, brother, Danny Griffin, and beloved son, Todd Church. She is survived and missed by her wonderful son, Tim Church; beautiful daughter, Stacey Locklear; Son-in-law, Nick Locklear; Grandchildren, Cory Locklear, Chance Locklear, Madison Tuck, Kaelyn Church, Alexis Locklear, Denver Church, and Sydney Church; Great Grandchildren, Lyrik Locklear, Ashton Locklear, Hudson Locklear, Luka Tuck and numerous loving family and friends.
Memorial service will be 10:00 AM., Tuesday, August 1 at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood.
