

Lyndell Edward Biazo, 84, of Hackett, Arkansas went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 from complications with diabetes and congestive heart failure. He was born October 8, 1931 to the late Louis Biazo and Ethel Biazo Best.
Lyndell was a member of Hackett First Baptist Church and a long standing member in the Masonic Lodge. He was a member of Amity Lodge #267 for 59 years, and 32nd degree mason.
He worked for 35 years in coal mines ranging from Arkansas, Oklahoma and Kentucky. He retired from Greenwood Fixtures, where he worked for 20 years.
Lyndell was such a kind and generous man. He never met a stranger and could tell stories about the years that had flown by, especially coal mining. He was a member of the Hackett Historical Society. Many referred to him as a walking encyclopedia. He loved coal mining so much; he coauthored a book Fire in the Hole.
He is survived by his wife, Norma Biazo of the home; his son, Marlin Biazo of Fort Smith; daughter, Sherry Lowder and husband, Ron of Hackett; grandchildren, Eddie Bunton of Van Buren, Anna and Shelby Plummer of Norman, OK, Marty and Fleshia Biazo of Pocola, OK and great grandchildren, Joshua Biazo of Fort Smith, Katie Ledbetter of Hackett, Amber McAnally of Pocola, OK, Makenna Ewing and Jaymi Ewing of Norman, OK, and Leo McAnally as well as many friends and extended family. He was preceded in death by granddaughter Dana Blackwell.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday, August 22 at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel with interment at Mt. Zion Cemetery. Viewing will be Sunday from 2-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Joshua Biazo, Lloyd Clark, Danny Paul McBride, Darrell Shelton, Allen Shelton and Charlie Smith. Honorary pallbearers are members of the Amity Lodge #267
