Mary Jane Gossett, 85, of Waldron, Arkansas, formerly of Hackett passed away Wednesday, May 21, 2025 in her home. She was born July 23, 1939 in Hackett to Fred and Beulah Gossett. She was the retired owner of Slim’s Stone in Hackett and member of the Hackett First Baptist Church.
She is survived by her life partner, Roy Jones; three daughters, Teresa Peters and husband, Scott, Peggy Fortner and husband, Bryan and Cindy Holley and husband, Carl Vail; six grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Cherie Hill, one brother, Benny Gossett and her sister, Joann Davis.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Friday, May 23 at Hackett First Baptist Church with burial at Mountain View Cemetery under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood. Viewing will be Thursday from 1 – 7 p.m. at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends from 5 – 7 p.m.
