Mary Ellen Vasquez

Mary Ellen Vasquez, 80, of Pocola, Oklahoma passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2026 in her home. She was born April 4, 1945 in Pocola, Oklahoma to William Otis and Myra Mae (Colley) Kilgore. She worked at Wal-Mart Store #141 on Rogers Avenue for 27 years.

She is survived by three sons, Jesse Nelke, Jr., Brian Nelke and wife, Debbi and Christopher Nelke and wife, Stacy; two daughters, Tammy Robertson and husband, Steven and Misti Fisher and husband, Beau; one sister, Virginia Kilgore; twelve grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Joyce Kilgore.

Visitation with the family will be 1 – 4 p.m., Sunday, March 8 at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood.
