Norma Burns, 82, of Pocola, Oklahoma passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2011 in Fort Smith. She was retired from Stephens Production and was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Burns, and her parents, Charles and Flossie Hoover.
She is survived by one son, John Burns and wife, Mary of Fort Smith; three daughters, Mary Alice Lane and husband, John of Clewiston, Florida, Jennifer McCoy and husband, Walter of Pocola and Peggy Levings and husband, Jamie of Pocola; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Graveside service will be 11 am Monday, November 14, 2011 at the U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood. The family will visit with friends 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. There will be a reception at the home of Michael Burns in Pocola following the service, at the old home place.
Pallbearers will be Walter McCoy, Michael Burns, Jamie Levings, Gene House, John Burns and Ed House.
