

Ona Mae Elmore, 86, of Greenwood, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, November 7, 2017 in Fort Smith. She was a homemaker, member of Greenwood First Assembly of God Church, member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and the widow of Rev. Archie D. Elmore. Mom loved sewing, quilting, canning, gardening, growing flowers, gospel singing, playing piano, God, church ministry, studying the bible, being a part of the local nursing home ministry at Pink Bud, splitting and selling firewood and cooking for relatives, friends and neighbors. She was always serving others plate or needs before taking care of herself, she will be missed greatly.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Saturday, November 11 at Greenwood First Assembly of God Church with burial at Dawson Cemetery under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood. Viewing will be Friday from 2 – 7 p.m. at the First Assembly of God Church, where the family will visit with friends from 5 – 7 p.m.
She is survived by two sons, Charles Elmore and wife, Lois of Greenwood and Don Elmore of Greenwood; her twin sister, Mona Fay Elmore of Purcell, OK; two grandchildren, Tanya Bivins and husband, Michael of Greenwood and Krystle Elmore of Oklahoma City and two great grandchildren, Christopher Bivins and Caleb Bivins.
Pallbearers will be David Elmore, Lonnie Elmore, Caleb Bivins, Doug Elmore, Steven Reid and Kyle Elmore.
