Polly was a friend since childhood.  She was just a little older than me, so I looked up to her.  I loved her beautiful voice when she sang at church.  I looked up to her a lot as a teenager.  A funny thing, but a good example of the great person she always was is that, one time, a boy from our church asked her out....but she was concerned that I might be interested in dating him, so she asked me first if it was okay with me if she went out with him.    I was so honored that she would ask me that...even though I was about 3 years younger than her! ( Neither of us ended up in a long term relationship with that fella, but Polly and I remained friends. )
 I was later blessed for her to become a part of our family, and am so thankful for her wonderful kids and grandkids!!
I'm also thankful for her close relationship with the Lord and so much look forward to spending time with her once again in heaven some day. 

I have so many happy memories of our days together in Oklahoma. Our boys were always together. I could always count on Polly for good conversation and a laugh. She was a wonderful neighbor and great friend. I was so shocked by this news. My deepest condolences to Chaz, Charlie, Paul, Ben, and all the family. 

 Who wouldn’t want to be remembered for their exuberant smile and genuineness?!?! Prayers for Polly’s family... makes my heart ache. 
Polly was one of the first to greet and catch us each Sunday when we first began attending Bridgeway Church in OKC.❤️

We met Polly at Josie’s 1st Birthday Party. She was so sweet and friendly. We’re saddened to hear of her sudden passing. We’ll be praying for you all.

I can hear her precious laugh even now. Greg and I are so sorry for your loss Charlie. What a beautiful lady. 

Still in shock after hearing the news regarding my sweet, kind, and loving cousin.  There are countless memories growing up together.
Polly was always fun to be with, because she had the pony and lived on a farm!  Always thought she was smart and very talented when it came to playing her piano and singing.  Her laugh and smile was contagious, so we did a lot of laughing.  Another memory that comes to mind is anytime Polly would get excited or surprised about something she would say,  "Go-o-o-lly".

Praying that God will give you strength, peace, and the comfort your heart needs, and may the memories of our loved one shine forever.


I am having trouble believing this wonderful woman of God is no longer with us here on earth....If you knew Polly you loved her, someone said in a previous memory how when they first met her it was like they always knew her.  I had the same feeling.  Her personality was such that she made you feel welcomed, important, listened to and loved any time you were around her.  We love you Polly and keep things straightened out in Heaven until we meet you there.  Pure Love. ❤️ SL

Polly was probably my closest cousin-literally- since we grew up only 6 miles from each other.  Just this last weekend we brought some friends with us from Texas.  Polly and Uncle Mal rode with us on the mountain.  Later that night,Polly and Charlie came over to the cabin and ate and played games with all of us.  We laughed and told stories of us growing up.  Her laugh will be missed. I am so thankful for that weekend with her.

I am so saddened by Polly’s passing!  I shall never forget the first time I met her. It was at Paul and Larende’s wedding shower, and it was like we had always known each other!   Since that time, we’ve had different occasions to be together, always with the same experience. One of my favorite memories of Polly was when she sang at Paul  and Larendé’s wedding. I had never heard the song before, and it was so special. This was one special lady!

May each of you receive comfort as you go on in life without your wife, your mother, and grandmother. 

Polly was my best friend. We met 27 years ago. We both knew God let his meet for a reason. We were both single moms at the time and needed each other’s support daily. We laughed, cried, prayed and laughed some more. If you knew Polly you knew her beautiful laugh! We had so many wonderful memories through the years. Polly taught me a lot about being still and enjoying the moment. Polly loved Jesus and loved her family. I will miss her terribly. I loved her like a sister but will see her again! 

What a beautiful lady of Christian Faith, Polly was a classmate of the Poteau High School and we were classmates together. She was a very sweet young lady that I respected and looked up too when she came from Monroe. It was so good to see her a couple of years ago when she had returned back to her home roots. I recognized her as soon as she spoke with that soft voice and that smile with laughter. We pray for the family at this time to be strong. We all loved Polly. 

My wonderful friend! My fav memory is when we went to the Prophecy conference and I was so nervous about talking to Gary Stearman. Polly says come on, we’re getting a picture! She said hi Gary! I’ve watched you for years on TV. You’re ministry is such a blessing! Can my friend Kaye and I have a picture with you? The rest is history 😊 Thanks for pushing me out of my shell ❤️ It won’t be long till we meet again 🥰

Mrs. Holt is survived by her husband, Charles Holt; three sons, Benjamin Woods and spouse, Elizabeth, John Paul Woods and spouse, Sam and Charles “Chaz” Holt; her father, James Malvin Newman; two brothers, Tony Newman and spouse, Mary and Gary Newman and four grandchildren, Oliver, Zoe, Elliot and Josie Gail Woods. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mildred Beatrice Newman.
