He is survived by his wife, Sara of Ft. Smith, Arkansas; his mother, Jean of Lafayette, Colorado; a daughter from his first marriage, Desiree of Westminster, Colorado; step-daughter, Dawn Carter of Mansfield, Arkansas; sisters, Vickie (Jerry) of Lafayette, Colorado, Nancy (Bernie) of Pasadena, California; brother, Bryan (Karyn) of Lineville, Iowa and many nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his father, Roscoe Leeman Shaw, Jr. and sister, Allison Haltom.
He was born on July 7, 1957 in Boulder, Colorado to Roscoe Leeman Shaw, Jr. and Telitha Jean Shaw. He grew up in Lafayette, Colorado and was a graduate of Centaurus High School. He attended Boulder Technical Education Center for computer operations and took courses at Metropolitan State University of Denver.
He always had time to attend nephews’ ball games and track meets. He never missed an opportunity to ‘shoot some hoops’ or toss the football. He played video games, danced to Elvis, and watched movies with his nieces. He never forgot a birthday and always sent a greeting in a card, text, or phone call.
He was employed by Neodata / EDS, Inc. and Raytheon. He moved to Poteau, Oklahoma, where he became an associate of Walmart. He immersed himself in many outdoor activities. His hobbies were varied; he enjoyed classic cars, fishing, hunting, football, basketball, and rescuing animals.
Of all his interests, his favorite was dancing - Roscoe loved to dance. He found his ideal dance partner, Sara, and they married in 2004. Even though he moved to Arkansas, he remained an avid Boomer Sooner fan.
His extended family grew to include many sister and brother-in-laws, daughter, nephews, nieces, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He adored his great grandchildren. He always looked forward to playing, swimming, gardening, and just spending time with his favorite guys, Easton and Beckett.
