Virginia Ann Cooper

Virginia Ann Cooper, 80, of Greenwood, died Thursday, March 4 in a Fort Smith hospital. She was a retired office worker, and a member of St. Sabina and Mary Catholic Church in Jenny Lind, Harris-Hannah V.F.W. Post #6527 Ladies Auxiliary, and Good Neighbors of Sebastian County.

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 10 at St. Sabina and Mary Catholic Church, with burial at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Charleston under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood.

Survivors are her husband, Cecil Cooper of the home; two sons, Richard White of Brea, California and Timothy White of Kellyville, Oklahoma; three brothers, Tom Norton of Norwood, Massachusetts, Paul Norton of West Roxbury, Massachusetts and Vincent Norton of Quincy Massachusetts; one sister, Jane Stefany of Medford, Massachusetts; seven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

Viewing will be 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 9 at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Pallbearers are Chris Gosh, Harold McLeroy, Philip Savage, Richard Savage, Jim Newcomb and Ron Powell. Honorary pallbearers will be Brian Dunn, Doyle Frost and James Gaston.
