

Vivian Allen Quillman of McKinney, Texas formerly of Greenwood, Arkansas was born January 6, 1921 in Witcherville, AR. She left this world March 16, 2011 and was preceded in death by her husband of 46years, Alvin Quillman, her parents, Carl and Annie Allen, four brothers, Hoyt, Paul, Edwin, and Ralph, and two sisters, Beulah and Edith. She was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church in Fairview, TX and a former member of the First Baptist Church in Greenwood where she was a member of the Golden Tones, a greeter for 15 years and served on the food committee. She was also a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary in Greenwood, the Home Extension Club at the Excelsior community, and a member of the Red Hat Society.
Funeral service will be at 12:30 P.M., Monday, March 21, 2011 at the McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood with interment at the U. S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith, AR.
Vivian is survived by two daughters, Janis Sharpe and her husband, David, of Bartlett, TN and Cindy Gamble and her husband, John, of McKinney, TX; four grandchildren, Melissa Williams and husband, Pat, of Memphis, TN, Tracie Brickeen and husband, Donald, of Arlington, TN, John A. Gamble and wife, Ginni, of Savannah, TX, and Nicholas Gamble of McKinney, TX; and eight great grandchildren.
Viewing will be Sunday, March 20th from 1:00 to 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home where the family will visit with friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M.
Pallbearers will be John A. Gamble, Nicholas Gamble, Pat Williams, Donald Brickeen, Donnie Allen and Blake Allen.
Vivian was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
