Wanda Lee Brewer

Wanda Lee Brewer, 82 of Hackett, Arkansas passed away Friday, April 3, 2015 in a Fort Smith hospital. She was a homemaker and a member of the Excelsior Home Extension Club. She was a second mother to many children, and her doors were always open to anyone who needed help.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m., Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood with burial at Mount Zion Cemetery. Viewing will be 4 – 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends from 6 – 8 p.m.

She is survived by three sons, Mike Brown and wife, Cathy of Chester, Mark Brown of Hackett and Jerry Brewer of Greenwood; two daughters, Rena Lauwers and husband, Gary R. of Huntington and Donna Slone of Bixby, OK; one brother, J.D. Sides of Hackett; one sister, Margie Plunkett of Greenwood; eleven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Donnis Brown and Thomas Edward Brewer; her parents, Dewey and Bernice Sides, and one brother, Pat Gilpatrick.

Pallbearers will be Brad Lauwers, Jeremy Brown, Joel Brown, Justin Brewer, A.J. Brewer, and Bobby Whitney. Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Brown, Mark Brown, Jerry Brewer, Gary Lauwers and Ted Shaw.
