Waylen Elizabeth Bailey, 96, of Greenwood, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2026 in her home. She was born November 6, 1929 in Sevier County, Arkansas to Albert L. and Ruby A. (Jones) Wright. She was a homemaker, member of Greenwood United Methodist Church, an avid golfer and bridge player and she brought back a Girl Scout troop to Greenwood.
She is survived by one son, John Bailey and wife, Natalia, one daughter, Joan Oliver and husband, Don and one grandson, Charles Bailey. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Charles Bailey and one brother, Glen Wright.
A memorial service will be 10 a.m., Friday, April 24 at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood. Her ashes will be inurned at Greenwood Memorial Cemetery.
