William Robert "Bill" Oliver

William Robert “Bill” Oliver, 74, of Greenwood, Arkansas passed away Saturday, July 16, 2022 in a Fort Smith hospital. He was retired from the 188th Air National Guard, member of Greenwood First Baptist Church and a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth Oliver; nine children, Brenda Parker (Rick), Bill L. Oliver (Jodie), Bob Oliver (Jennifer), Casey Oliver (Monica), Stephen Malenshek (Leslie), Robert Malenshek (Kristin), Andrew Malenshek (Stephanie), Teri Whittaker (Chris) and Bekah Trotter, eighteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Floyd and Clara Oliver and Grace and Kenneth Lloyd and one sister, Anne Morgan.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Thursday, July 21 at The Loft at Stone Oak under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood. Viewing will be Wednesday from 1 – 7 p.m. at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends from 5 – 7 p.m. Inurnment will be at Liberty Cemetery.
