Andre' Michael Hawkins

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Andre’ Michael Hawkins, age 35 on October 17, 2023 in Newberg, Oregon. Andre Michael Hawkins was born on November 29, 1987 in Great Falls, Montana.

Andre’ attended Centennial High School but obtained his GED as he was a young teen and a stay at home dad for his only daughter at that time, Taija. Andre’ was a Material Handler and enjoyed working with his hands. He had a lot of hobbies, however the one he enjoyed the most was playing video games with his friends from all over the country and was recently going to college to become a Game Developer. Andre’ loved spending quality time with his family and was always up for the random last minute family adventure. You could always count on Andre’ to have a mental checklist of everything and jam pack the car. He had a passion for skateboarding, well until he broke his collarbone when he was younger but that never stopped him from trying to show off for all the neighborhood kids. Andre’ loved taking pictures of natures beauty.

He is survived by his loving wife, Mariah Hawkins; their four beautiful children, Taija (21), Isaiah (15), Atavia (9), and Joshua (4); mother, Ann Marie Brown Sumner; stepfather, Michael Hawkins; brother, Brandon Hawkins; sister, Chaneka Hawkins; nieces and nephews, David Hawkins, Kayden Swenson, Payton Hawkins, Tiana Hawkins, Declan Hawkins, Elliott Hawkins, Dawson Boggs and Deegan Boggs. He was preceded in death by his brother, Joshua Raymond Hawkins; his uncle, William Robert Brown; and his grandmother, Alva Jean Hawkins.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, 10/28/2023 at 1:00pm at Forest Lawn Cemetery, 400 SW Walters Drive, Gresham, Oregon 97080.
