Ann Dawson, 72 years of age, passed on Monday April 29, 2019 at the Adventist Medical Center Hospital.
Ann was born November 2, 1946 in Bombay (Mumbai), India to the late Austin and Catherine Evanson. She was an only child. The family moved to Scotland, then to Montreal and then finally settled in Corvallis, Oregon. She was educated in the Corvallis School System.
Ann and Jim met in church. They were friends for several years sometimes working together in ministry. They realized that their friendship had progressed and were married on June 8th, 1979.
Ann became an Insurance Adjuster and worked 27 years resolving insurance claims. She was very good at getting information and so the boys called her Anni PI.
She was also very active in church serving in many capacities, from leading bible studies and serving with her husband in several ministries. Her high point in ministry is when she became involved in an organization called Celebrate Recovery, a faith based recovery program. Ann and her husband served as the leaders of a local Celebrate Recovery. After several years Ann became a state representative for the organization traveling around the state encouraging local leaders.
Ann leaves many who cherished their memories of her. “To know her was to love her.” She is survived by her Husband Jim, Sons; Cary, Brandon, Rich, Rian, and Joshua; 4 Granddaughters, 2 Grandsons, and 2 Great grandsons. She also had other in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
