

Bonnie was born on May 26 1931 in Nephi, Utah and was the daughter of Morton and Olive (Ricketts) Jayne. As a young child she moved to Payette, Idaho and later to Nampa where she attended Nampa High School.
On November 12, 1949 she married Kelly G. Morgan in Superior, Montana. They moved to Portland in 1952 and Bonnie attended Portland State University where she earned her Master’s Degree. She later completed the course work towards her Doctorate at BYU.
She worked as an English and Journalism Teacher for Parkrose High School and later Sam Barlow High School. She retired in 1987.
Bonnie was a 30 year Breast Cancer Survivor and was strong and opinionated. She was supportive of her family and a good listener for her children. She enjoyed traveling, reading, writing and genealogy. Her family was her greatest love. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Bonnie is survived by her daughter, Charla Haney of Kuna, Idaho, brother, Spencer Jayne of Junction City, Oregon and her grandson, Jason Haney. Her husband, Kelly, son, Richard, brothers, Leslie, Clarence, Howard, Dick and Lee and sisters, Eva, Fern and Winona all preceded her in death.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 3, 2012 at 11:00 am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 22801 SE Stark Street, Gresham, OR 97030. Contributions may be made to a charity of your choice. Bateman Carroll Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
