

Brandon was born on June 7, 1983 at Beale Air Force Base, Marysville California and he was the son of Royce and Kimberly Mayo. He grew up in Brownsville & Gig Harbor, Washington, attending Brownsville Elementary School and Gig Harbor High School. He moved to Portland where he graduated from Vocational Village in 2001.
Brandon went on to earn his Welding Certificate through a 2 year vocational program. He entered into an apprenticeship that afforded him the opportunity to work on the Portland Underground Pipe Project. He later worked at and was a valued employee for American Heating in Portland for 2 years.
On July 13, 2013, Brandon married Natasha Sherbakoff at Round Butte Overlook Park in Madras, Oregon. He was expecting his first child this coming February and was so excited to be a father. He enjoyed rock hounding, hiking, camping throughout Oregon, playing guitar and video games. Brandon also adored his 2 dogs Buddy & Rosie, his dog, Buddy passed away with him.
Brandon had the biggest heart and the brightest blue eyes that screamed “I Love You” with every look. He was caring and had the ability to see the beauty within people, nature, and the simple things in life. He had a distinctive loud laugh that was contagious. He was a devoted husband to his wife Natasha, a loving son to his parents, and siblings, he will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Brandon is survived by his wife, Natasha Mayo of Portland OR; his father Royce Mayo and step mother Jodi Bullock of Happy Valley OR; his mother Kimberly Strong of Monmouth OR; his brother, Justin Mayo of Portland OR; sisters, Kaile Newland of Portland OR and Charla Mayo of Happy Valley OR; grandparents, Virginia Elouise James of Medford OR; Bill and Retta Blocksom of Scappoose OR, and Roberta and Floyd McKenney of Medford OR; his niece, Mira Lynn Mayo along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. His sister, Shalene Newland died with Brandon, and his step-father, Fred Ross preceded him in death.
