Calvin T. "Ted" Judd

Calvin T. “Ted” Judd, 82 of Oregon City OR, passed away on Wednesday, September 10, 2014. He was born on July 20, 1932 in Gresham, Oregon to Thurston and Monta (Splawn) Judd. He attended Gresham schools and graduated from Gresham High School in 1951. Ted married Helen Gertrude Reisbick on October 23, 1953 in Portland, Oregon. He worked for 37 years with Gresham Transfer before his retirement in 1989. He then operated TJ Construction for 10 years where he lived out his hobby as a carpenter. He was a member of the teamsters for many years and was a scout master and commissioner with the Boy Scouts of America for over 10 years. Ted enjoyed woodworking, gardening, trips to the Oregon Coast and loved time spent raising his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Ted is survived by his wife Helen Judd of Oregon City OR; sons Bob Judd (Joy) of Milwaukie OR and Mike Judd (Teri) of Gresham OR; grandchildren Melody Messinger (Dwight), Jennifer Judd, Stacie Braziel (Matthew), Chris Judd, Josh Judd (Anna) and Rebecca Landis and great grandchildren Mason Judd, Dylan Judd, Kaden Whitaker and Kyle Lane. He was preceded in death by his son Randy Judd in 1993 and his brothers Denny, Paul and David Judd.

Viewing will be held from 10:00am to 7:00pm on Monday, September 15, 2014 and Funeral Services will be held at 10:00am on Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at Bateman Carroll Funeral Home, 520 W. Powell Blvd in Gresham, Oregon. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Gresham, Oregon. Contributions may be made as donations to the charity of one’s choice.
