Charlene “Sunnie” Roberta Shattuck passed away at her home in Gresham, OR on September 28, 2012, surrounded by her family. She was born October 30, 1943 in Anaheim, CA to parents Charles and Allene Noyes.
Charlene was a smart and savvy business woman. She worked for 30 years in the real estate industry. She got her start in 1980 with Rod Girtman Realtors, and then co-founded Homeseeker’s Realty in the late 80’s and finally formed her own company, Shattuck and Company Real Estate in which she was President until her death. Those she worked with quickly grew to trust her, and she gained a professional reputation of reliability and respect. She was a woman of high integrity.
On August 11, 1962 at 5:00pm in Anaheim, she married Jimmie Marvin Shattuck. Together they shared 50 years of marriage and raised three children. Family was important to Charlene, especially the holiday traditions. They helped us define who we are as a family, helped provide something steady and reliable as with previous generations. Charlene loved to travel to far-off places, or go for a drive on a short trip and always had to take the scenic route. She enjoyed collecting antiques and dolls. Her hugs were long and her heart was big.
Charlene is survived by her husband, Jimmie (Jim) Shattuck, of Gresham; son James (Jim) Shattuck of Gresham; daughters Natalie Shattuck, of Molalla and Stefanie Macca of Gresham; brother Allen Noyes of Orange, CA, and grandchildren Courtney and Angelina Macca, and Zoe and Zachary Shattuck. A memorial service will be held Friday October 5 at 3:00pm at Bateman Carroll Funeral Home.
