Charles "Chuck" Wayne Sears passed away on June 8, 2018 surrounded by his family's love and support. He was 75 years old.
Charles "Chuck" Wayne Sears was born June 25, 1942 in San Diego, the 2nd child of Victor and Frances (Hanan) Sears.
When Chuck was 17 years old, he made a life-changing decision and joined the United States Marine Corps where he served for the next four years during the Vietnam Era. He was honorably discharged in 1963.
Chuck earned his GED while in the service and after discharge, entered the apprenticeship program to learn the trade of a pipefitter. He married, had a son and daughter, but later divorced. He made another life-changing decision in 1976 when he asked for God’s help to clean up his life. That led him to sobriety and forty-two years as a member of Alcoholics Anonymous.
Because he turned to his "higher power" and A.A., he found Cheryl. During their 40-year marriage, they grew a family that brought together six children, their spouses, fifteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, all of whom will miss "grandpa" terribly.
