Christopher James Cruse, 29 of Portland OR, passed away on Monday, February 10, 2025. He was born on August 8, 1995 in Portland, Oregon to Leonard and Marie Cruse. He graduated from Corbett High School and attended Mt. Hood Community College. He worked at OnPoint Community Credit Union and CC Slaughters. CJ loved singing and was active in Corbett Children’s Theater and Pacific Youth Choir.
CJ is survived by his mother Marie McPike (Cruse) and stepfather Larry McPike Jr both of Dallas OR; father Leonard Cruse of Fairview OR; stepmother Keri Cruse of Gresham OR; brothers Luke Cruse and Blake Cruse both of Fairview OR; grandfather Ted Dvorak of Scappoose OR and uncle Jon Dvorak of Juneau AK.
A Celebration of CJ’s Life will be at 2:00pm on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at Bateman Carroll Funeral Home in Gresham, Oregon. The service will also be livestreamed at www.batemancarrollfunerals.com for those not able to attend in person.
