Daniel Richard Byers Sr., 68 of Fairview OR, passed away Wednesday, October 18, 2023. He was born on September 29, 1955 in Pendleton, Oregon to Melville and Carol Byers. He graduated from Marshall High School and worked with his father as a cement mason for over 20 years. Dan married Denise Marie Carroll on November 23, 1988 in Portland, Oregon. Dan loved collecting cars – Ford and Volkswagen to be specific – and LGB trains.
Dan is survived by his wife Denise Byers of Fairview OR; daughter Stephanie Marie Byers of Fairview OR; son Danny Richard Byers Jr. of Vernonia OR and sisters Terese Heddon of California and Lynne Coffman of Portland OR.
No formal services will be held at this time. Arrangements entrusted to Bateman Carroll Funeral Home in Gresham, Oregon.
