Dawn Rene Hinton died and was reunited with our Savior on May 11, 2023 from Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease; two weeks after its diagnosis. Dawn was born July 3, 1962 in Sacramento, California. Dawn attended Casa Roble High School and American River College where she earned an Associates Degree. She married Gerald Wayne Hinton January 29, 1983, in Citrus Heights, California and they were sealed for time and all eternity in the LDS Oakland temple June 11, 1983.
Dawn is survived by her husband, Jerry; children, Joel Hinton (Jasmine Hinton) and Emily Hinton Aleman (Jordan); parents, Dean and Sonja Emmen; and grandchildren, Ruby and Millie Aleman. Dawn is a mighty daughter of our Heavenly Father, a disciple of Jesus Christ, and lived her life as a healer of souls.
Dawn never met someone she did not like. She extended a hand of love and friendship to all who crossed her path and was a beacon of light to all who were privileged to know her. She touched lives in a deep and lasting way that would help lead them to the covenant path. Dawn was called home early for a special reason known only to God and His Son. We trust in the Lord and are grateful for the multitude of His tender mercies that He has blessed us with. May God be with you till we meet again, my sweet girl.
