Dianne was born in San Francisco, CA to Edward and Lillian Kurkjian. She graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School. In 1968 she moved to Portland, OR. She started working at Howard Cooper and moved on to Pape Machinery. She was a well respected business woman who was admired by her peers, who accomplished all that she strived for.
In 1985 she and Rolf were married and they loved and cared for each other for 30 years. Dianne enjoyed cooking, vacationing in Maui, and yachting.
Dianne is survived by her loving husband Rolf Schumacher, son, Michael Hoggan and her stepchildren Birgit Hurd and Steven Shumacher, four grandchildren, Jordan, Brooklyn and Kadan Schumacher and Nicholas Heaton, sisters Louise (Charles) Janigian and Mary-Jean (Bruce) Kranak, niece Su (David) Wreden and nephews Johno (Muryel) Golding, Bret and Chad Kranak, great nieces and nephews Olivia, Christopher, James, Alec and Madison, uncle Robert and his wife Joan Keropian. She will be missed more than we can say by her family and many friends.
A celebration of Dianne’s life will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2015 at 12:00 pm at TYEE Yacht Club, 2929 NE Marine Drive in Portland.
