

Donald C. Bogh died on March 16, 2010 in Clackamas, OR. Don was born on Sept. 16, 1918 in Ringsted, Iowa to Christian and Katherine Bogh. Don served his country in the U.S. Air Force during WWII. After the war he first lived in East St. Louis, Illinois. He married Pearl O’Banion in 1945. Later he married Juanita “Jo” Drage. Don first worked in construction before being a long time real estate broker in the Portland area.
Don was deeply involved in politics where he campaigned for John and Robert Kennedy, was a delegate representative at the democratic national convention, was on the citizen action committee for the East Portland Police Department and the Multnomah county planning committee.
Don was a Gateway Rotary booster, member of the Elks and Moose organizations, toastmasters, on the Portland Board of Realtors and past President of the Danish Brotherhood. Don’s family meant everything to him.
Funeral Service will be Monday, March 22nd at 11 am at Bateman Carroll Funeral Home in Gresham. Burial will be at Willamette National Cemetery with military honors in Portland.
Survivors include 3 daughters, Donna Lynn Kublick of Portland, Wendy Schomann of Troutdale, Valerie Simpson of Gresham, brother, Christian Bogh of Portland, 13 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. A daughter, Gwen Carter preceded him in death.
