

Donna Jean (Lampert) Thames, 92, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully on March 31, 2025, at Farmington Square Gresham. A Funeral Mass celebrating her life will be held at St. Henry’s Catholic Church in Gresham on Wednesday, April 23, at 10:30 a.m., followed by a reception lunch at 11:30 a.m.
Born in Portland, Oregon on November 30, 1932, Donna was the youngest of seven children born to Gladys and Ferdinand Lampert. Raised in Troutdale, Oregon, she attended school in Corbett before continuing her education at St. Mary’s Academy in Portland. Following graduation, Donna worked at the First National Bank in Gresham, where she met and married George Hart, beginning a life devoted to her family. After her divorce from George, Donna and her children moved to Gresham, where she worked as a Houseparent and Seamstress at Albertina Kerr, later becoming a Housekeeper at Mt. Hood Medical Center.
Throughout her life, Donna demonstrated a strong work ethic and unwavering kindness. She found joy in gardening and crafting, expressing her creativity through her skillful hands. Her dedication to her family was unparalleled, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Donna is survived by her sister, Carroll (Lampert) Gerding; her four children, Mark (& Patti) Hart, Carla (& Mark) Liepold, Deborah Hart, and Gregory (& Carol) Hart; and nineteen cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
We will remember Donna for her unwavering kindness, her creative spirit, her tireless work ethic, and most of all, for her boundless love of family. Her memory will be a blessing.
