Dorothy Harmon Hawkins

Dorothy married Leonard Hawkins on January 30, 1952 in the University Park Methodist Church in North Portland, Oregon. He preceded her in death in February of 2006. Dorothy was a long time Portland resident.

Dorothy volunteered at many places including at her church, the Lynchwood Church of God, at Village Health Care Center, and was a baseball scorekeeper volunteer at Centennial High School. Dorothy was a child care giver for many years for her grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling.

A Memorial Service will be on Saturday, April 30, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Lynchwood Church of God, 3818 SE 174th Ave. in Portland.

Donations may be given to the Lynchwood Church of God Church or to the American Cancer Society.

Private interment will be at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland.

Survivors include her son Len and his wife Kathy Hawkins, of Gresham, OR., daughter Terri and her husband John Acred, of Gresham, OR., brother Ed Harmon, of Prineville, OR., sister Guelda Johnson, of Lewistown, Montana and four grandchildren, Misty and Jenny Acred and Taylor and Cameron Hawkins, and one great grandchild, Jeslyn Acred.
