

Dorothy Marie Teeter died on March 3, 2010 in Portland, Oregon at the age of 84. Dorothy was born on November 22, 1925 in Walla Walla, Washington to David and Mabel (Hopp) Angelo. Dorothy lived in Russellville, Gresham, Troutdale, Corbett and finally in east Portland.
Dorothy attended Gresham Union High School and graduated from Corbett High School in 1944. She attended San Jose Bible College in California for two years.
Dorothy was a homemaker, worked in the ship yards during World War II, worked at Lipman’s Store and was a boilermaker at the Boardman Power Plant and at the ship yards.
Dorothy married Charles Teeter on September 6, 1946 in the Gresham Church of Christ. Charles died in 1990. Dorothy was a member of the Abundant Life Church in Happy Valley, Oregon.
Interests included; gardening, was an artist, spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and was a self taught musician playing keyboard, organ, guitar, harmonica and the accordion. Dorothy loved children.
Survivors include her son Jerry and his wife Susan Teeter of Turner, OR., son, Ron Teeter of Portland, OR., daughter Ellen Bossen of Portland, OR., daughter Christi and her husband Randy Nelson of Milwaukie, OR., daughter Beth and her husband Peter Madigan of Portland, OR., brother Tony and his wife Sharon Angelo of Corbett, OR., sister Joyce Reinsch of Halfway, OR,, sister Frankie Angelo of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Donations may be given to Adventist Hospice, 5835 NE 122nd Ave. Suite 135 Portland, Oregon 97230.
Memorial Service will be on Friday, March 12, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at the Abundant Life Church 17241 SE Hemrick Rd. in Happy Valley, Oregon. Private interment will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Gresham, Oregon. Bateman Carroll Funeral Home in Gresham, Oregon is handling arrangements.
