Evelyn graduated from DuBois High School in Nebraska. Evelyn married Wilson James Burns on September 27, 1935 in Hiawatha, Kansas-They eloped. Wilson died in 2009.
Evelyn enjoyed bowling, crocheting, wine making and crossword puzzles.
Evelyn is survived by her two daughters, Carol Jean LaSalle, of Oregon City, OR., and Marilyn Forsyth, of Bend, OR., three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandson.
Funeral service will be on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. with a reception following at Bateman Carroll Funeral Home located at 520 W. Powell Blvd. in Gresham, Oregon. Private entombment will be at River View Cemetery in Portland.
