

Franklin Galberth, known as Rowdy, Cisco and Knute, died on December 13, 2011 in Portland, Oregon at the age of 80. Mr. Galberth was born on February 25, 1931 in Spokane, Washington to Thomas and Iris (Thomlinson) Galberth.
Mr. Galberth lived in Gresham, Oregon for most of his life. He went to Rockwood Grade School and Gresham High School. He married Margaret Malone in 1953 in Stevenson, Washington. Margaret died in 2001.
Mr. Galberth was a member of the Eagles organization. He was a board member of the Dump Truck Association. He was the business owner of the Galberth Trucking business for over 40 years, retiring about 1994.
Hobbies included fishing and hunting, going to Reno to gamble, bicycle and motorcycle riding, liked old cars, especially his 1924 Dodge. He was a proud father and grandfather.
Survivors include his two sons, Frank and Edward Galberth, who both live in Gresham, OR., daughter, Sherry Marlowe, from the Netherlands, brother, Howard Galberth, of Spokane, WA., two sisters, Agnes Huml, of Portland, OR., and Charlotte Mitchell, of Murray, Utah, five grandchildren, Jacob Galberth, Marcus Marlowe, Nicole Galberth, Jon Michael Marlowe and Jenna Lorraine Albin and 1 great grandchild, Spencer Galberth. Mr. Galberth was preceded in death by his siblings, Iris Leonard, Thomas Galberth, Edward Galberth and his sister Jess Leonard.
Funeral Service will be on Monday, December 19, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Bateman Carroll Funeral Home located at 520 W. Powell Blvd. in Gresham, Oregon. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Gresham, Oregon. Donations may be given to St. Judes Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105-3678.
