Franklin E. Justice

Former Gresham resident Franklin Elex Justice, 84 of Portland OR, passed away on Wednesday, November 25, 2015. He was born on November 2, 1931 in Chipley, Florida to Boy and Mamie (Melton) Justice. He served in the United States Air Force from 1951 to 1953 and graduated from San Bernardino High School in California. Franklin married Joan Reed on January 23, 1953 in San Bernardino, California.

Franklin was an Assembly of God minister for most of his lifetime. He was a member at Mt. Hood Christian Center and was a prayer warrior to his family, his pets and his many friends. His primary prayer was for God to take him while he still knew Him.

Franklin is survived by his wife Joan Justice of Portland OR; son Charles F. Justice (Tracie) of Minneola TX; daughter Sheryl Justice-Bradley (Phillip) of Gresham OR; brother Dick Justice (Azeal) of Panama City FL; grandchildren Jamie Elliott, Michael Justice, Melissa Justice, Chelsie Nice, Brittany Bilbo, Kasie Hart and Breanna Nelson and eight great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Franklin’s Life will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at Mt. Hood Christian Center, 2500 SE Palmblad Road, Gresham OR 97080. Private interment will be at Willamette National Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Bateman Carroll Funeral Home in Gresham, Oregon.
