Gene Alan Schiedel, 79 of Canby OR, passed away on Sunday, May 25, 2025. He was born on December 30, 1945 in Oregon City, Oregon to Glenn and Mildred Schiedel. He married Wanda Sue Wilson on September 4, 1971 and she preceded him in death on May 15, 2024. Gene owned and operated Schiedel Nursery from 1976 to his retirement in 2007 when family continued the business. His hobbies included casino trips.
Gene is survived by his daughter Lori Hanson and her husband Mike of Aurora OR; sister Sharon Scalvini of McMinnville OR and grandchildren Justin Hanson, Riley Hanson and Emma Hanson.
A Celebration of Gene’s Life will be held at 11:30am on Tuesday, June 3, 2025 at Bateman Carroll Funeral Home, 520 W Powell Blvd in Gresham, Oregon with interment to follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Gresham, Oregon.
