During his Navy and electrical career he made many friends. As a volunteer he blessed 3 churches with his God-given design talent as they either remodeled or built their buildings. Ace Electric of Portland, OR was his primary employer before he was a part owner of Phoenix Electric in Tualitan, OR from which he retired in 1990. Jack and Barbara then traveled and spent time away from their home at Crooked River Ranch in
Yuma, AZ during the winters.
Jack is survived by his wife Barbara of over 57 years, and 4 children: Rick French of Boring, Ed of Crooked River Ranch, Michael of Gladstone and Karyn of Scappoose. His has 11 precious grandchildren and two great grandchildren scattered from Brazil to Alaska.
A celebration of his life was held on Saturday July 13th at Bateman Funeral Home in Gresham, OR at 3 PM followed by cookies and beverages.
