Jane Marie (Riddle) Coppedge

Jane Marie (Riddle) Coppedge, 71 of Troutdale OR, passed away Thursday, February 13, 2025 peacefully sleeping in her home surrounded by family. She was born November 5th, 1953 in Prineville, Oregon to Lester “Les” and Sharley Merle (Knox) Riddle. She lived her early years on the Knox family homestead in Post, Oregon on the “Post Ranch”, (NKA Aspen Valley Ranch), before Jane and her parents moved to Eugene, Oregon. She graduated from Willamette High School in 1972. Between 1972 and 1980, Jane, along with her only child Joshua J. Moriarty lived in Springfield, Creswell OR, and Iowa.

Jane moved to Troutdale, OR in 1980 where she lived the remainder of her life in the same home. She was a lifetime small business owner which included nightclubs, bars, a restaurant, Cobra kit car business, herbs store, antique mall, and real estate. Jane loved spending time with family, competitive ballroom dancing, gardening, traveling, and antiquing. Her life can be summed up as “She did it her way!”.

Jane is preceded in death by her mother Sharley Merle (Knox) Riddle, father Lester “Les” Riddle, only brother Gregory “Greg” Riddle of Eugene OR, and step-grandson Cody Stallsworth of Troutdale OR.

Jane is survived by son Joshua J. Moriarty and daughter-in-law Bridget Moriarty of Wamic OR, granddaughter Kyra Moriarty of Port Richey FL, and nieces Richelle Riddle of Eugene OR, Sara Riddle of Eugene OR, and Teresa Kontur of Monroe OR.

Private family Services will be held at a future date. Arrangements entrusted to Bateman Carroll Funeral Home in Gresham, Oregon.
