Husband of Catherine McKay; father of Jim McKay, Dan (DeAnna) McKay, Craig (April) Dobson, and Scott (April) Dobson; grandfather of Allyson, Josh, Daley, Dash, Brooklyn, Sydney, Paige, Chase, Lucy, Charlotte, and Phoebe; son of Harold Smith and the late Rosemary Smith.
A funeral service will be held at Bateman Carroll Funeral Home in Gresham, OR, on Thursday, September 17, 2015 at 1 p.m.
A gathering of friends and family will follow the service at Mountain View Golf Club, 27195 SE Kelso Road in Boring, Oregon.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Jerry’s name to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
We were blessed to have Jerry in our lives as a loving son, beloved husband, devoted father, cherished grandfather, loyal friend, consummate professional, and selfless mentor. May we honor his memory by living each day to its fullest, loving one another with all our hearts, and never showing up late for a tee time.
