Jimmie M. Shattuck

Jimmie Shattuck, 76, of Gresham, passed away July 23, 2015. He was born in Jacksonville, Texas on June 3, 1939 to Dewey and Minneola (Williams) Shattuck and was raised with one sibling. Jimmie graduated from Orange High School in Orange, CA in 1957. He joined the military soon after and served in the Army in Berlin Germany. Jimmie married Charlene Noyes in August of 1962 and together they raised three children. Jimmie had a long career in residential and commercial construction even owned his own company. He retired after 51 years of service. Jimmie enjoyed the outdoors, cars, going to the beach and hanging out with his friends and family. He was also known in the community as one that would always lend a helping hand to that in need. Jimmie was preceded in death by his wife of over 50 years Charlene; parents; and siblings George and Beryline. He is survived by his children James Shattuck of Gresham, Natalie Shattuck-Moss of Happy Valley, Stefanie Paul of Tigard and 9 grandchildren. He will be deeply missed. A memorial service will be held on Friday, July31st at Bateman Carroll Funeral Home at 4pm. Jimmie will be laid to rest with his wife Charlene who passed away in 2012 at Willamette National Cemetery.
