Julia Anne Niclot Opoka was born in Palmer Junction, Oregon, June 19, 1919 and moved to Lake Oswego, Oregon, at an early age. In 1940, she married Arnold Opoka. They moved to Gresham in 1949. Julia was a wonderful homemaker. She enjoyed volunteer work which included working in her voting precinct for the election board and volunteering at the grade school.
Julia is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Bob Graham of Carlton, Oregon, and daughter and son-in-law, Jeannette and Guy Eichsteadt of Montello, Wisconsin. Julia has four grandsons, Willie and Joe Graham and Brendan and Michael Eichsteadt, and four great grandsons and three great granddaughters.
A Memorial Mass will be offered at St. Henry’s Church in Gresham, Oregon on Saturday, January 14th, 2017 at 11:00 am. If you wish, donations can be made to the American Heart Association, 7272 Greenville Ave, Dallas, TX 75231.
