June Bug “Peter” Walker passed away on October 13, 2015, in Gresham, Oregon. June was born on June 26, 1923, in her Fariview, Oregon family home, to her parents: John Henry and Dora Nancy (Robertson) Peterson. June attended Gresham High School, and she graduated in 1941. June then attended Oregon State University. She was a cheerleader, and a member of Alpha Chi Omega.
On August 7, 1945, June married her husband, Richard Walker. They were married until his passing on February 14, 1999.
June was a lifelong member of Smith Memorial Presbyterian Church. Her faith was very important to her. She was also PTA President, and the Queen of Job’s Daughters. She enjoyed playing tennis, swimming, shopping, her homes in Hawaii and Indian Wells, and her many friends.
June is survived by her children, Doug Walker (Diane), Stephen Walker (Barbara), Julie Bowles (Gary), Bart Walker and Bret Walker; eleven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren with one on the way; and her sister in law, Pauline Hutchinson. Her positive spirit was a healthy example to her entire family.
