

Ken was absolutely addicted to Star Trek. He owned every movie and every episode of every series. His collection consisted of the original series tricorders, phasers, badges, and scanners.
From the 1970's until his last days, he built hundreds of military models. He painstakingly hand painted every detail down to the insignias.
He had a passion for reading and collected hundreds of historical military books. Ken was a huge movie buff, his collection consists of thousands of movies on VHS and DVD.
Ken collected arm patches from police agencies for all 50 states. Some from mutual trades, removing the patch from his own uniform in exchange for that of another officer.
He had more marine navigational knowledge memorized than most people will learn in a lifetime. Much of which he passed on to his boys, Ken Jr. and Mike.
He owned and skippered 5 yachts named "Vulcan Princess". Traveling and fishing from Puget Sound to Astoria to locking through Bonneville Dam to the upper Columbia River.
He was very well versed in firearms and how to properly use them, to the point that he became a firearms instructor and shared that knowledge with many. Ken enjoyed reloading his own ammunition, a thing that he had done for over 40 years.
Always going big, he had 5 Great Danes. He nearly always had a German shepherd, 7 over his lifetime. One at the same time he had Danes. He was roommates with Thor the German shepherd until the day he passed.
Ken was an American patriot, who loved his country and was absolutely a force in the Universe. He will be greatly missed.
