

Kenny was born on June 25, 2945 in Portland, Oregon. He was adopted by David and Katherine (Hoffman) Merlo. He graduated from Sunset High School in Aloha and completed his Master’s degree in Business Psychology at Portland State University. Kenney worked for AT&T beginning as a janitor when he was 17 and left as a manager after 23 years. He also owned retail stores, Heroes and Villains in Portland and Pensations in Eugene. He resided in Junction City for many years and moved to the Gresham Area to be closer to his family.
Kenney was an avid collector. He liked to collect baseball cards, trains, stamps and coins. He enjoyed watching Sci-Fi movies, writhing poetry and studying American History. He loved the Lord, his family and his country.
Kenny is survived by his sons; David and Joe, who live in the Eastern United States, Aaron Merlo of Salem, daughter; Christina Merlo, Anita Merlo and Jaclyn Merlo of Gresham and grandchildren; Gabriel Robinson and Ember Merlo.
A celebration of Kenney’s life will be held at King’s Grace Fellowship Church in Junction City on May 28, 2011 at 2:00 pm. Bateman Carroll Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
