Kevin Hal Dhone, 56 of Troutdale OR, passed away on Sunday, July 9, 2017. He was born on October 12, 1960 in Gresham, Oregon to Marvin and Ann Dhone. Kevin graduated from Corbett High School in 1979 where he was a star athlete – running back and captain of the football team and catcher that won a golden glove award for baseball.
Kevin served in the U.S. Coast Guard as a boatswain mate and as a boarding officer in Portland and also received the humanitarian service medal. He worked as a warehouseman for Albertson’s Distribution Center for twenty-six years. Kevin was a sportsman enjoying boating, fishing and golfing and was an avid Oregon Ducks and Forty-Niner fan.
Kevin is survived by his companion of twenty years Anne Main; mother Ann Dhone of Tygh Valley OR; sister Rhonda Dhone of Sandy OR and many nieces and nephews. Kevin was preceded in death by his father Marvin Dhone and his brother Cleve Dhone.
A Celebration of Kevin’s Life will be held at a later date. Contributions may be made in Kevin’s name to the charity of one’s choice. Arrangements entrusted to Bateman Carroll Funeral Home in Gresham, Oregon.
