Kevin Allen Gibler, 29 passed away on January 2, 2014 with his family at his side. He was born on July 22, 1984 to parents Floyd and Toni Gibler in Portland, Oregon. Kevin graduated from Reynolds High School in 2002, and went on to graduate from the Portland Art Institute.
From a young age, Kevin was creative, imaginative and artistic. He was an old soul from the start, but enjoyed nothing more than spending his time being active and with friends or cousins, especially outside or signing Karaoke. At 16 Kevin began having seizures, and he endured many years of surgeries and treatment in an attempt to keep his condition in check. Through it all, Kevin never let the illness get his spirit down or take over his life, seeing it as only one part of the many things going on.
Kevin is survived and missed by his parents, his brother Jason, and his many friends and extended family. A memorial service will be held at St. Aiden’s Episcopal Church in Portland, Oregon on Saturday January 11, 2014 at 2:00pm. Bateman Carroll Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
