He was a devoted husband to Mee Vang and a proud father to six children—four sons and two daughters. As his family grew through marriage, so did his joy. Later in life, he was blessed with twenty-two grandchildren who quickly became the center of his world.
Khua touched the lives of everyone he met with his warmth, kindness, and unforgettable laughter. He had a playful spirit and a goofy sense of humor that kept those around him smiling. In his younger years, he loved taking his family on adventures in his red pickup truck—fishing, hunting small game, and exploring the mountains together. Sometimes the destination didn't matter as much as the ride, the stories, and the laughter along the way.
He also enjoyed watching airplanes land with his brothers and children, often turning a simple outing into a memorable family moment. These simple moments created lasting memories for his family.
Khua loved spending time with his grandchildren, especially during their long walks together. He would sit with them drawing animals and often couldn't resist adding funny mustaches or drawing watches on their arms while babysitting. He had a mischievous side too—playfully scaring his grandchildren by catching bugs or small animals in homemade traps and proudly showing them what he found. To him, it was all part of teaching them about the outdoors and sharing a good laugh.
His mornings often started with a cup of coffee and a quiet moment before another day surrounded by family. As he grew older, he continued doing the things he loved—spending time with his grandchildren, going on outings with his many friends, and helping his wife with gardening.
Khua was someone who asked for very little but gave so much. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother, and friend. His playful spirit, generous heart, and ability to make people laugh will always be remembered by those who knew him.
As the patriarch of his family, he shaped the lives of those who came after him. His love, stories, laughter, and gentle guidance will live on in the many memories shared by his family. His caring and lighthearted spirit will eternally illuminate the journey of life for all of us.
Khua Cha will be deeply missed and forever remembered. Those who knew Khua will remember his laughter, his jokes, and the way he could turn even the simplest moment into something fun.
