Lawrence Darnell WARE

June 11, 1956 – July 14, 2022

Lawrence (Larry) Ware, age 66, of Portland, Oregon passed away on Thursday, July 14, 2022, after a battle with Severe Dementia.

Larry was born in Chicago, Illinois, the youngest of three sons. In spite of disabilities, Larry had a strong will to survive and be successful.

Although his latest occupation was as a Custodian for Portland Public Schools, he also worked as a Printer, a counselor for the Housing Authority in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and an Emissary for the Ecumenical Institute of Chicago. As a young man working for the Ecumenical Institute, he travelled and worked around the United States and Jamaica.

He is preceded in death by his Mother Naomi (Kelly) Ware, his Father LeRoy Ware, and his Brother LeRoy (Joe) Ware.

Larry is survived by his Daughter Tiana Ware, Son Jordan Ware, Granddaughter Ta’Shari Armstead, Brother Michael Ware, his Nephew Tawon Keith, his Niece Veronica Bentley, and Cousins in Chicago and Memphis.

Larry’s favorite thing to do was to gather with friends. He considered himself the best in the family when it came to cooking barbeque. Those who met and knew Larry considered him to be a kind and sweet man, and loved him for his smile and optimistic outlook on life.
