Leroy "Roy" Charles Livermore

November 14, 1930 – September 29, 2021

Roy, age 90, passed away on September 29, 2021 in Portland OR. Roy was born November 14, 1930 in Montevideo, Uruguay to Fannie Marie (Mary) and Ford Stuart Livermore. Roy and his mother moved to Portland in 1937. Roy attended Benson and graduated from Lincoln High in 1949. Roy served in the US Navy from 1949 – 1956. He graduated from Lewis & Clark College in 1958 and earned his CPA in 1960. Roy married Dorothy Harriet Bonnickson on September 19, 1953. They were married for 61 years, she preceded him in death in 2014. Roy married Patricia Ann Swayne on November 14, 2015.

Roy was a loving husband and dad and a wonderful, engaged member of his community. Roy was a “maker”, from family homes and motor homes to financials and memories. Roy enjoyed bowling, dancing, skiing, tennis, golf, RVing and lots of electronic gadgets. He was an active member of the Elks and the Eagles. Roy and Dorothy joined Lake Merwin Campers Hideaway in 1972. Roy built a cabin there, creating a fun and relaxing getaway for family. Roy was a great role model and Dad: honest, ethical and hardworking, he also liked to tease and joke and have a good time.

Roy is survived by his loving wife Pat of Gresham OR, daughter Linda Livermore of Portland OR, his four sons: Dave and spouse Dori of Las Vegas NV, Jim of San Carlos CA, Rick of Honolulu HI, Jeff and spouse Colette of Portland OR, Sister-in-law Bonnie Bonnickson of Houston TX, ex-daughter-in-law Barbara Burden Livermore of Gresham OR and Roy’s eight grandchildren: seven boys and 1 girl. He is loved and will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests gifts in Roy’s memory may be made to Veterans organizations and Habitat for Humanity.

A public funeral visitation for Roy will be held Monday, October 11, 2021 9:30am - noon at Bateman Carroll Funeral Home, 520 W Powell Blvd, Gresham, OR 97030
