

Lois moved from Minnesota to Oregon when she was 16 years of age. She lived in Sherwood, Tualatin and North Portland. Finally she had lived in Gresham for many years.
Lois graduated from Roosevelt High School and earned her associate’s degree at Mt. Hood Community College. She married Ernest Jessen on May 11, 1952 in Sherwood, Oregon. Ernest preceded her in death on June 11, 1996.
Lois worked as a teller for Equitable Savings and Loan. She worked for AT&T as a phone operator. Lois was a long time Redeemer Lutheran Church member. She volunteered for the National Braille Association.
Hobbies including gardening, quilting and knitting, and was a former cub scout den mother.
Survivors include her two sons, Larry and his wife Joni Jessen, Franklin, Tennessee and Matthew and his wife Sharon Jessen, Boring, OR., brother, Jerry Scott, Hillsboro, OR., two sisters, Carol Goff, North Portland, OR., and Linda Scott, of Middletown Connecticut, and four grandchildren; Matthew Hunter (Claire) Jessen, John Grant Jessen, Ryan Scott Jessen and Aaron Dillan (Jennifer) Jessen.

A celebration of Lois’ life will be on Saturday, February 4, 2012 at 12:00 p.m. at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 795 E. Powell Blvd. in Gresham, Oregon. Private burial will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Gresham.
