

AKA: Rennie, Mom, Nana
Born in Portland, OR, on October 7, 1947 to Paul and June Sabrowski. The 3rd child of four.
She graduated from David Douglas High school in 1965. Then went to beauty school at Magee Brother's and graduated in 1967. She worked at Gateway Beauty Bar for 7 years.
In the fall of 1973, she met Tom Griffin at Gateway Lanes. They had graduated in the same class together, but didn't actually know each other. They were married January 19th, 1974 and had a wonderful marriage of 47 years.
After leaving the Beauty Bar, she and Tom purchased her own salon in 1974, already named House of Antoniette, which they then sold in 1976, after getting pregnant with their first child.
September 1976, they welcomed their first born - Jaimee. She then started her 2nd career - babysitting. She ran an in-home daycare from 1976-1989, where she had up to 13 kids at any one time - and loved every minute of it.
In March 1980, they welcomed their second child - Alison.
She started her 3rd career, driving school bus for Centennial School district from 1989-2012, when she retired.
Her and Tom were active members of various car clubs and for 10 years she assisted running the Sister's High Desert Custom Car Show starting in the late 80's; she also assisted several years with the Unfinished Nationals.
In 1981, she began assisting with the junior bowling program at 20th Century Lanes, then took over running the program for about 15 years. She picked back up with coaching juniors, when the grandkids started bowling 2007-2020, when COVID temporarily closed the bowling center.
She passed away in her home in Gresham, OR on September 1st, 2021.
She is preceded in death by her parents Paul and June Sabrowski; her older brother David and her older sister Pat.
She is survived by her husband Tom Griffin; her daughter Jaimee and husband Richard Lorey; her daughter Alison and husband Jim Harding; her grandchildren Gavin, Reagan, Jonathan and Aubrey; her younger brother Gary, her great-nephew David Paul and the hundreds that called her mom and nana.
She will be greatly missed by all, who knew and loved her!
A celebration of life gathering for Lorraine will be held Saturday, September 25, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Bateman Carroll Funeral Home, 520 W. Powell Blvd, Gresham, Oregon 97030.
