Margie graduated from Fairview Grade school and earned her GED at Mt. Hood Community College. Margie married Homer Taylor on February 17, 1939 in Vancouver, Washington. Homer preceded her in death on January 1, 2003.
Margie was a homemaker and long time East Multnomah County resident living in Gresham, Oregon. Interests included being an avid gardener, trout fishing, going on hunting trips, clam digging at the Oregon coast, was a great cook, loved to read and being with her grandchildren and family.
Survivors include her son, John Taylor, of Portland, OR., daughter, Janet Pitts, of Sandy, OR., brother William and his wife Karen Hewgley of Sandy, OR., two sisters Dorothy Hancock of Portland, and Mildred Strebin of Gresham, OR., two grandchildren, Denise (& Jeff) Horton and Roger Pitts, 4 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
Private interment at Mt. View Cemetery in Corbett, Oregon.
Memorial Service will be on Sunday, June 27, 2010 at the Estacada Community Center.
