Marianne was such a gift when I moved to Vancouver with FIB. She inspired me as a friend, a manager and as a fellow mom. We went through a lot together and I respected and cared for her very much. Whenever I see Willy Wonka, green slime or purple violets, I think of MA and the family. The world is a better place for her legacy - Lindsay, Lane, Kayleigh & Kirk. You're in my thoughts and prayers.

Marianne was a pleasure to work with during my tenure as her Customer Relationship Manager for Jack Henry & Associates for Lewis & Clark Bank. She was a joy to speak with, always positive and friendly, even when things were not up-to-par. I was deeply saddened to learn of her passing and will keep your family in my prayers. I was priveledged to know Marianne many years ago (15+) when she became our "new" boss at First Interstate Bank in downtown Gresham. She was a breath of fresh air that had an energy of warmth with a spirit of genuine sincerity. She possesed such a "go get 'em team" attitude and truly was a joy to work for! She always spoke lovingly of her family, especially her kids, and had great stories she shared with all of us. It was obviouse that she took great pride in being the best wife, mother and friend she could possibly be. My deepest sympathy and heartfelt condolences go out to all her family and friends. I am so sorry for your loss!

Marianne was a wonderful person and an amazing mother. She made going to work fun. I will never forget her stories. Working with her at First Interstate Bank, many moons ago, was a joy. She  will be greatly missed.

My memories of Marianne Ross start out with us young teenage girls spending nights at her home.  She loved to spend time sharing with us her life as a teen, how she met her love Kirk, and the many cool things she has experienced.  We were able to be ourselves around her, she was all accepting and loving.  She encouraged us to have fun and enjoy our teenage years.  She took us to concerts, she showered Lindsay with gifts and showed Lindsay, Alyssa, and I a whole lot of love.  Her sweet sweet mothering was seen and very appearant in her interactions with  Kayleigh and Lane. 
After my teen years I had moved to Arizona. Lindsay and Alyssa still are my best friends.  I missed out on so much more of Marianne during my years here in Arizona. The pictures and stories about all their times together touch my heart.  Marriane...a cool and fun mom!!!  Being in nursing school I have learned several details about organ donation. In fact I had the lecture on this and then immediatley registered as well as told my family that I want to be a donor the same morning that the family decided to donate her bodys' organs.  Wow! This decision was very significant and special...several people including children as well as their entire familes are blessed beyond words. 
I love you.  Lindsay, I care about you deeply. My hand is in yours through this. You can talk or not talk, you can cry and it's okay to laugh too. Although a phone call away...I'm by your side in my heart.

Marianne cared about others and it showed in the warm way she welcomed you to the bank, her enthusiasm around working on projects to support and help others, and in her ever-present friendly smile. She brought an extra bit of sunshine and joy into everything she did, and she was such a pleasure to work with. My heartfelt condolences to her family and coworkers - she will be deeply missed.

Marianne and her wonderful family were an important part of my life at West Gresham Grade School.  Her three children were wonderful additions to our school.  What a sad loss for all of us but especially her family and closest friends.

Marianne was such a vibrant, creative, and loving woman.  Her heart was always in the right place as she always had everyone’s best interest in mind. Some of us, here at Lewis & Clark Bank, considered MA a mentor and all of us considered her a friend. Things are not the same without her and we know that nobody will be able to fill her shoes. Although we have felt much sorrow over the past week we can not image the loss that those closest to her are feeling now.  MA loved her husband and children with all her heart so to you Kirk, Lindsay, Kayleigh, and Lane I sent my most heartfelt sympathy.

I had the pleasure of knowing MA for the past 20 years.  We met at what was then First Interesate, worked closely together in the Metro East Office for many years, and developed a friendship that went beyond a work friendship.  There are so many things that I can say about her - fun, generous, loving, caring, compassionate, happy, creative, smart, hard working. . . they all describe what was a wonderful and dear person she was. She will be missed by so many who will go on without her presence, but will never forget her.

She and I shared many passions including our love of cooking, entertaining, and crafting.  Her ideas inspired me, and I always loved to work on creative projects with her - she was the Martha Stewart in my life.  I am going to miss our opportunities for collaboration on our creative projects, and the fun dinners we all had as friends.  I will miss our Christmas Ornament exchange, and our shopping for those ornaments.  We both loved to decorate for holidays, and her decorating was the most beautiful of anything I ever saw.

Marianne's creative nature was beyond anything most people can even comprehend creating.  Her attention to detail and embellishments was phenomenal.  I was always AMAZED by what she would create and come up with.  Everything she touched spoke volumes of personal time, caring and effort.  Those on the receiving end of her creations were WOWED and touched by her work.

She was also a close friend of my husband, Stan, who she worked with for many years.  He is now up in heaven with the angels and I know he will be looking out for her, and she will help keep him in line. After his death, she was such a great support for ALS, which he passed from.  She helped with the ALS Auction decor every year for the past 5 years, and she attended every walk in his behalf.  I could always count on her to be there for me when it came to this cause, and it truly touched me.  Her caring nature, and her selfless acts of kindness were present each and every day. 

Marianne was the type of person who wore a smile on her face at all times - no matter what was going on in her life she always was a positive force in everyone's life. 

Marianne touched my heart, was a great presence in my life, and I am going to miss her greatly.  I will remember her forever . . .

I have done marianne's hair for a couple of years, and have known Kirk's family for many years, I am so sad, in the short time i have known her i can honestly say Marianne is the kindest, most giving person I have ever met. We talked about so many things, and it was so obvious that she adored her family, and was so proud of her children,she was always willing to create something beautiful for somebody. Marianne was a wonderful woman who loved freely and openly.  Her creativity and eye for crafts are unmatched by all. She was of a giving spirit to the end, and shined with a light so pure and bright that all were drawn to her and could not resist returning the hug, the smile.  I was blessed enough to know this amazing woman.  She has touched my family countless times, and her passing has caused great grief to all. You know how much we love both you and Marianne.  Her smile, her sense of humor, was infectious.  Marianne was a force, that brought so much joy into our lives. We will cherish the memories we have spending time with you and MA.  You and the kids are constantly in our thoughts.

Marianne:  You left us too soon.  Those who worked with you these last three and one-half years—and some like me for almost a decade—feel privileged to have shared the camaraderie you always made special.  Each day your smile and good morning would take the edge off the day.  

In addition to being a valuable asset to the bank, you were a generous and creative person who “took care of things” and the people around you.  You were dedicated, hard working, and cared deeply about the bank, the other employees, and the clients.  In an old fashioned vernacular, you, Marianne, were the “sparkplug” of the bank—smiling, laughing, decorating, and always working to bring together the employees in a positive manner.  We hope to be able to carry forward your spirit and enthusiasm in making everything “special”. 

You were always a professional with our clients—smiling, helpful, and trying to take them beyond the usual banking experience.  How you found the time to add all of the “extras” at work—and I know you did the same or more at home—like Christmas trees, Valentine décor, and special birthday and other holiday greetings at everyone’s work station.  

There will be no “replacement” for MA (Marianne’s moniker at the bank), but we will always remember her and do our best to carry on in the path she established.  There isn’t a person here that wasn’t touched by her kindness and generous nature.  She left a legacy for all of us to cherish.  

We wish the best for her family in this time of grief, remembering, and celebrating her life.  You didn’t have Marianne long enough either, but I know you have all benefited greatly by her touch and the life she helped build for you—she cared so very much for you and often spoke of her family and friends.

Although I only met Marianne a few times, I have had the opportunity to get to know her son Lane. He is a caring and kind young man who deeply loved his mother. I worked with Marianne at McDonald's back in the late 70s.  I always had fun working with her as she brought out the best in everyone.   We both left McDonald's at the same time and went to work for First National Bank of Oregon.  We kept in contact off and on for many years.  Then we lost contact for a long period of time until last year when I realized that she worked at Lewis and Clark Bank.  We spoke on the phone at that time and it was so good to hear and talk to the sweet Marianne that I knew way back when we worked together at McDonald's.  

Kirk and her children are in my thoughts and prayers.

Marianne stood out because of her kindness, compassion, intelligence, work ethics, love for her family and ability to see life situations with humor.  I worked with Marianne at Wells and MBank and always enjoyed our times together.  Our lunch and dinner conversations generally centered on family and work, and were always filled with laughter.  It was so obvious how much she loves her family and it was clear being a mother to Lindsay, Kayleigh and Lane was her first priority in life.  She felt blessed to have them and Kirk as her family.  She also expressed her love and appreciation for her mother-in-law.  We were all blessed for having Marianne in our lives, no matter how small or big of a part she had in it.  I will always remember her fondly, but mostly will remember all of the laughter we shared.

I will never forget when Marianne took Lindsay and I to the Fleetwood Mac concert in our early teens. It was a wonderful experience and I'm so glad I was able to share it with her. I still remember looking over at her once and a while, and she was singing each song word for word. I could tell she enjoyed it so much! I know she's in heaven singing away.....Again, my deepest condolences.

The very first time I met Marrianne was through our daughters who met in 3rd grade and  became and still are very close bestfriends. The first impression that she made with me was her beautiful smile. When she smiled her eyes smiled too. Her  family was the center of her life and she was a loving nurturing mother. She possessed a warm heart and there was a gentleness of spirit within her. She was was pleasant in nature and it's a pleasure to have known her. I know she blessed many by being who she was. Her legacy are her 3 beautiful children who inherit the same qualities of love and benevolence due to her influence in their lives. I feel blessed that  through our daughters Lindsey and Shayna & Nicolea I was able to know her.

Marianne was gifted with grace, intelligence, creativity, kindness & a great sense of humor. She, as well as her beautiful smile, is unforgetable.

I remember one of the happiest days of Marianne's life was giving birth to her twins, Kayleigh (Princess) and Lane(Bugsy). My thoughts are with you.

The world has lost a special soul this week....Marianne was a gem.  She did so many wonderful things for my family, and was the dearest of friends to my sister Kim.  She will be missed by us all.

I worked with Marianne for a short time at M bank, she treated everyone with such kindness. I so appreciated it. She was a sharp cookie.We shared a love for the same music. Her smile was contagious. My prayers are with her family and friends.

MA, I am truly blessed to have known you and your family.  After working together in the early 80's, we met infrequently, but you left an indelible imprint on my life.  I cherish the time we spent together and will remember you always; I am a better person for having known you. I can't think of a positive that doesn't describe Marianne.  She was kind, caring, extremely talented and devoted to her family. I met Marianne a few years ago and her personality was magnetic. She was my sister Kim's best friend and our family loved her dearly. She will be missed by all of us.

I had the privilege of knowing Marianne through her volunteer work for The ALS Association - to this day and for many to come, I do not think that I will meet someone as beautiful as she was - inside and out - she is one of those few people that can make a strong impact on someone within seconds of meeting them. Her smile, her unselfish ways, her committment to friends, family and the community at large - and I can go on. I am beyond words at hearing that this world has lost Marianne way too early - I do find peace in knowing that she is up there watching over all of us - she is one angel, on earth or high in heaven, that will continue to be the amazing person that she is! While I did not get to meet her family, she always spoke of them so highly and with a huge smile. My heart and thoughts are with them and her friends at this time.

I am so blessed to have known Marianne. She was one of the most good-natured, kind-hearted, giving and fun persons you could ever hope to have as a friend. I will always treasure my memories of her. My deepest sympathies go out to Kirk, the kids and the rest of her family and friends.
